9 Months
This month we are going on our first real vacation as a family!!! We are so excited to be relaxing for 7 whole days. We will be cruising with our family on Oasis of the Seas, the largest ship sailing right now. I know there will be so much to do and we will love it! So far this month we have been shopping for the cruise, packing, and keeping to our crazy workout schedule. We also got a new stroller recently for jogging. We decided on a B.O.B jogging stroller and could not be more happy with it! I have done up to 6 miles with it and it works wonders. I am really questioning why i ever waiting to get one, because it has so many attachments and i could have easily used it before now! I waited because i had him in the fall/winter and i had a travel system, but this stroller could have also held the car seat! who knew??? In Max in motion news: Max is pulling up on everything!!! we are just waiting on the moment when he takes off walking....as i know it is just around the corner. Sadly this month at Max's doctor appointment we found out that our otherwise healthy little guy will have to get tubes put in his ears after we return from vacation. This is very scary for mommy but i know it will be for the best. He also has 2 teeth on the bottom that have fully poked though this month, and we can see the top two on their way in. It is crazy how fast he is growing and changing, it seems like it is always something. I am just trying to soak up every moment that i can with him!!!
Fun things we did this month:
- We are taking a cruise vacation to the Caribbean
- We did lots of shopping to get ready for the cruise! Max is wearing 12 month clothes at this point and on the verge of moving up a size in some things
- We have been running a lot! We run in our neighborhood, with the Decatur running club, and the Soreline Squad
-We tired some stage 3 foods and Max is doing much better with the thicker foods. He loves yogurt and fruit pops by far the most!

My must haves for moms:
- B.O.B. Jogging Stroller - it rides so smooth, folds up easily, and has tons of attachments
- teething tablets, i prefer the all natural ones but im sure any of them will work great
- Bottle Cooler: just something to keep your bottles cool, as we hit summer i use mine all the time.

This month we are officially crawling!!! Mom and dad are in big trouble now as Max is now on the move. He started crawling one night in our basement while we were down there to get his bottle and by the next day there was no stopping him. As soon as he figured it out he has not stopped. This month we celebrated Brad's first father's day, celebrated the marriage of some great friends and we are preparing for vacation! We traveled out of town for the first time without Max for the Peasley wedding. Brad and I were both in the wedding party so there was no way that we could have brought Max along for the fun. We had a great time and when we came home on Sunday we celebrated fathers day with lunch at buffalo wild wings and family time. It was hard to leave him but i'm sure he was spoiled by his grandparents over night. We are now preparing for vacation next month. We will be taking off for a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean.
Fun things we did this month:
- Celebrate our 1st Father's Day!!!
- Celebrated Cailin & Tim's Wedding
- Max got a picture ID and is all ready for the cruise! Yes... he has a baby drivers license now.

My must haves for moms:
- Phone List to give to sitters/etc. when you leave your little one; we have our numbers, grandparents, great-grandparents, doctors, poison control...etc. --- just another precaution
- baby gates, cabinet locks, foam bumpers (for sharp corners: we have on our tv stand), outlet covers, and all thing baby proofing! Keep these on hand as your child starts approaching this age because one minute they cant move and the next thing you know it they are into everything! it will for sure save you a late night trip to the store. Safety 1st has a great kit that i bought that had many of these items in it plus door handle cover, which i know i will need before i know it!

This month we continued our swimming lessons! Max is loving the water more and more every week. He loves floating on his back the most and has been know to fall asleep while floating. Only our little water bug would do this. It has also been helping him sleep at night, as it just runs every
ounce of energy out of him. We are continuing to try new foods and with all of the baby food Max is really packing on the pounds. He is up to 18 already! Getting so big so fast! I am starting to train for a half marathon so we are on the hunt for a new stroller so that Max can ride with me while i run. I am doing this with some girls from work, so i think i will be held accountable. Max is sitting up all on his own this month! He could do it some last month but he now has it mastered. It is a little scary to think that crawling and walking will be next.
Fun things we did this month:
- Started going running at least twice a week, most of the time 3 times a week. Both mom & dad are training for the shoreline classic! Brad is doing the 5k and i am doing the 15k (as training for the rock n roll half marathon in October)
-We went swimming
- We played with toys and Max got a new snail musical toy that he loved to play with.
-We have been outside more this month. We have been swimming, running, and working on the yard.

My must haves for moms:
- a good jogging stroller....we are on the hunt for one! I will post an update next month on what we choose.
- a good photographer! I have a nice camera and have done pictures for others but would rather not shoot my own child for his pictures. We have found an amazing photographer that we LOVE!!! She is about 2 hours away but i can not say enough good things about her! She is ahhhhhmazing to say the very least :) Unforgettable Photography by Anna
