39 Weeks...Welcome Baby Max!

39 Weeks!

Its that time...

Last Picture of the Belly :(

All hooked up...waiting for something to happen

All smiles after 12 hours of labor...cake!

Profile shot...thanks hun ;)

waking the halls...trying to get things going?!?!?

10-22-12: Brad and I arrived at the hospital at 7am for our scheduled induction! We had taken bets on what time the baby would arrive and thought that for sure we would have a baby by Monday night! The nurses got me all hooked up to monitors (heart, blood pressure, contraction monitor, and IV) and started petocin upon arrival. I was dilated a 1 when we got there and was 80% thinned. I walked and walked and did everything that i could but only dilated to a 2 by days end. I was having contractions but could not feel them. I took some pain meds through my IV towards the end of the night so that i could get some sleep (not so much for the pain but to knock me out)!

Just woke up after the epidural

10cm Dialated!!! This was our last picture as a couple... B+G=3

10-23-12: My doctor came in, in the morning and decided to keep the petocin going and break my water (i was only dilated a 3, so i was not making progress). It was the strangest feeling ever to have my water broke but it sure did the trick! After my water broke i got another shot of pain medicine out of fear that contractions would be getting stronger soon! With just having had that i got check again and was already dilated a 4. Out of pure fear of how bad the pain was going to be i opted for the epidural. It was painless (more than likely from the shot of pain meds...i didn't feel a thing) and the next thing i knew i was numb! It was fabulous and it made me tired, so off to sleep i went. When i woke up for the nurse to check me i was a 9 and then minutes later a 10. It was GO time, time to push! I could not believe that i slept through my entire labor but hey, i will take it. They gave me more epidural medication before starting to push and an hour later our little miracle was born. Max Harrison Osborne was born at 4:33pm (which my uncle Steve guessed almost exactly 4:30). He was absolutely perfect, at 6lb. 10oz. and 20.25 inches long. Labor was easy until something went wrong after he was born, he was quickly take away from me as i had to be worked on. I had placenta accerta, which only happens in 1 in 25,000 women, and had to immediately have a procedure done to save my uterus. I am thankful for the doctors and nurses that worked on me and i am lucky to not have had a lot of bleeding and will be able to have children in the future. I know that was the first question i asked my doctor. Although after i was very much in pain and then out of it, due to medication, it was so worth it to look at my precious baby boy. It is an unexplainable love!

The Week: We spent the next week in the hospital. I was looked after by the doctors and nurses, getting over the pain of the procedure. Max spent his time sunbathing in an incubator to correct his jaundice. He loved it in there. He would stretch out and sleep all day, like a little angel baby! Brad and I learned a lot that week. We learned his schedule, when to feed, how to burp, and change a diaper. It was exhausting and on Friday we were released to come home.

Oh Wait...38 Weeks!

38 Weeks!

How Far Along: 38 Weeks... its the FINAL COUNTDOWN!

Size of Baby: Baby Oz is the size of a LEEK this week (6.8lbs and over 19in. long)! I can hardly believe how big Max is...it is amazing how much he has grown in such a short period of time!

Maternity Clothes: No turning back now...it is all about comfort as soon as i am home from work! A lot of sweatpants and hoodies, as the weather is getting cooler! I also just bought some really cute PJ's for the hospital in a larger and my normal size! (i can not wait to be my old size again!)

Gender: hopefully we will be hearing next week....ITS A BOY!!!

Movement: Max is still moving but actually a little less that normal, this is due to there being less room for him in my tummy! No more room = time to come out and meet us!

Sleep: I am not sleeping this week! I have been feeling crampy and sick all week... it is the hardest thing ever to go to work every day right now! I am running on fumes at this point and can't wait to at least feel better and hold my baby while not sleeping!

What I Miss: I miss the feel good weeks of pregnancy...even though it sucks feeling like this! i think i will slightly miss having him in my tummy and feeling those little kicks (knowing he is ok)!

Cravings: water!!! I have been extremely thirsty this week.

Symptoms: I have been feeling horrible this week so i have spent some time in bed and at the doctor/hospital for tests and monitoring. The doctor was concerned with the amount of fluid around the baby so i had an ultrasound to confirm the size and due date, and will be induced next week!!! The doctor says that everything looks good and we should have no problems next week!

Best Moment This Week: This week i have felt horrible and have spend lots of time hooked up to monitors and getting poked with needles! Max is doing well though and we will get to meet him next week, so this was my final doctors appointment this week. My family came over and helped up get everything ready for the big day. We cleaned, did laundry, washed bottles, and packed the car! We are finally ready for BABY. ---We can't wait to meet you Maxie Moo! We love you so much already, i can't imagine what it will be like once you are here--- mommy & daddy =)

Wedding at... 37 Weeks!

37 Weeks!

How Far Along: 37 Weeks...3,2,1 to GO!

Size of Baby: Baby Oz is the size of a SWISS CHARD this week (Over 6lbs and over 19in long)! We have reached and exciting milestone in pregnancy this week! WE ARE FULL TERM!!! Yay...so we should have a healthy baby Oz any time that he would like to come!

Maternity Clothes: I not buying anything new at this point and have happily made it without having to make too many maternity purchases! This weekend i wore the dress that i had wore to another wedding a few weeks ago. It was a little more snug but it fit fine and was a great success!

Gender: I am glad we are having a boy...especially since Brad was all over me this weekend about getting ready too long and being late! oops... at least a boy won't hog the bathroom right?

Movement: Max was going crazy to the loud music at the bar we went to this weekend before the wedding (especially Journey)! He LOVES them!

Sleep: I slept well this week because i am sooooo tired! lol

What I Miss: I miss being able to drink...horrible again i know but after going to a wedding with all of my friends i do miss it!

Cravings: cake!

Symptoms: Feeling hard kicks and punches...i guess there is not enough room for him and he is mad at me! poor little guy...we can't wait to meet you!

Best Moment This Week: The best moment this week was getting to see all of my friends at a wedding! My best friend from out of town was here and my cousin and her fiancee were here as well! We had an amazing time and it was the greatest timing ever to get to see them prior to having Max!

36 Weeks!

36 Weeks!

How Far Along: 36 Weeks!!!

Size of Baby: Baby Oz is the size of a CRENSHAW MELLON this week (almost 6lbs. and 18.5 inches long). The length is beginning to freak me out! Wow that is a long baby in my tummy?

Maternity Clothes: I am still holding out but things are starting to get rather snug! The sweatshirt that i am wearing in the above picture is one that i got last year & i absolutely LOVE it! I put it on this week and well... i barely got it on and it was definitely not as comfortable as i thought.

Gender: Boy! I have however had dreams that he came out a girl and i had all of this boy stuff! Devastating....

Movement: Max was doing a lot of kicking last week and this week her is weighing heavily on my bladder! I am on the go all the time...to the bathroom that is!

Sleep: I am still sleeping well with the pregnancy pillow and my favorite pillow on our bed but i am getting up to go to the bathroom more and more!

What I Miss: I miss feeling like i can move! I have so much to do and feel horrible. I wish i would have done more in the earlier weeks when i had more energy because this is rough!!!

Cravings: Normalcy

Symptoms: Everything horrible! uhhhh not feeling well this week

Best Moment This Week: The best moment this week was spending time with my husband and that is about it...i am not feeling well this week! I am moving slow and i am getting so anxious to have this baby! Mostly because i have reached the point of being sick and tired of being pregnant! We did however go to an Illini football game with friends, that was most enjoyable!

35 Down...5 To Go! 35 Weeks

35 Weeks!

How Far Along: 35Weeks... 5 weeks to GO!

Size of Baby: Baby Oz is the size of a HONEYDEW MELLON this week (5.25lbs and over 18 inches long)! This little guy is getting quite large and so is mommy!

Maternity Clothes: I am still holding out but things are starting to get rather snug! The sweatshirt that i am wearing in the above picture is one that i got last year & i absolutely LOVE it! I put it on this week and well... i barely got it on and it was definitely not as comfortable as i thought.

Gender: Boy and we are still doing boy things to get ready, which i love! We are going to lots of Trojan football games and watching the Cowboys on the weekends...oh ya i hope he loves football as much as we do!

Movement: Max more than likely head down because i can feel those big baby feet in my ribs all day! The doctor thought that i may have a problem with my gallbladder but i know it is just all of the kicking that is making me sooo sore! Little turkey

Sleep: I cant complain but it is getting a little harder to sleep as i am getting bigger! My pregnancy pillow is a lifesaver for sure! I take up the entire bed but ohhhh well....poor brad will be crammed on the edge of the bed for a few weeks!

What I Miss: I miss the energy that i once had...i need it back to get the nursery done but it just isn't happening! I sure do hope that it comes back!

Cravings: I am craving another pedi right now for my swollen feet and ankles! I thought that this would not happen to me but IT HAS!

Symptoms: I am feeling large, swolen, and slow! It is getting to be a task to put my shoes on!

Best Moment This Week: The best moment this week was spending one of the last relaxing weeks/weekends that i have with my husband and family... from here on out i will have doctors appointments every week! PLUS...i have a lot to get done to get ready for the baby!!!

34 Eeeeks! 34 Weeks

34 Weeks!

How Far Along: 34 Weeks... baby Oz is almost here!!!

Size of Baby: Baby Oz is the size of a CANTALOUPE this week (3.75lbs)! One of my absolute favorite foods that i had to give up due to the high amount of sugar... who knew fruit would make you gain weight like crazy? I found that out at my first few doctor appointments, when i was packing on the pounds!

Maternity Clothes: I am still holding out as i keep saying on my everyday clothes and work clothes but i did have to buy a new dress this weekend! It was such a challenge because we don't have any good maternity stores around here. I did find a great dress that ties at the waste that was just a larger size. I think i will be able to re-wear it for another wedding in a few weeks as long as the belly doesn't get too big too quick!

Gender: I thought a girl would be more fun but i am just in love with the idea of having a little boy now! How fun is it going to be to be a football or basketball (or both) mom...i just can't wait! As we go to football games each week, i keep thinking that one day my little guy will be out there and we will be cheering for him! just love it =)

Movement: Max is still moving like crazy and the kicks and punches are getting more and more powerful each week! come on max...take it easy on mom!

Sleep: I am still sleeping pretty good...fingers crossed that it stays that way! I don't know what i would do with out my sleep but i guess i will find out soon enough.

What I Miss: I miss the old me... it has been said before but it is sooooo true!

Cravings:

Symptoms: Feeling very large and in charge!

Best Moment This Week: The best moment this week was getting a mani/pedi with my husband to get ready for a weeding that we had this weekend and attending the wedding. I had to buy a new dress at the last minute but it was worth it, because we have another wedding in just a few weeks! Congrats to the newly weds Matt & Hillary ;)

33 Can It Be??? 33 Weeks!

How Far Along: 33 Weeks... still growing up a storm!

Size of Baby: Baby Oz is the size of a PINEAPPLE this week! He is a little over 4 pounds and has passed the 17 inches mark.

Maternity Clothes: I am loving my new jeans and i am continuing to wear tops that i already have. Not to much longer to go, so i am trying to work with what i have at home.

Gender: Its a boy and of course we take Max to the football games with us every weekend and he will be right there with us as we get ready to cheer on the cowboys, as the NFL season starts! We can't wait until he is finally here to possible go to a game with us and wear all of his cute cowboys gear!

Movement: Maxie Moo is still on the move, he is flipping and punching and kicking like crazy! I know we are going to have our hands full once he is here, but his movement are so reassuring that everything is ok with him right now.

Sleep: I am still getting plenty of sleep! If there is one thing that has been amazing for me this pregnancy it has been getting a good nights sleep! I fall asleep so quickly and sleep so sound...its the best! Ditto -- still same as always...sleeping like a ROCK only with a few extra pillows now!

What I Miss: I am still moving at the speed of a turtle, as i am not used to this big baby inside my tummy! I know he is growing but i am having a little trouble adapting to my new limitations.... and it will only get worse!

Cravings: no cravings really.... i have been boring in that aspect i guess?

Symptoms: This baby bump is taking off...we are quickly approaching the finish line! it is so crazy that he will be here in just a month and a half!

Best Moment This Week: The best moment this week was having my baby shower at work! I feel so blessed to work with such a wonderful group of people. They share stories of their pregnancies, offer advice, and give me the real deal on what to expect. I have learned a lot and i think it will be helpful when it comes time to have this baby!!! YAY

32 Weeks! 8 month mark :)

Picture Coming Soon!

How Far Along: 32 Weeks... this kid is growing like CRAZY!

Size of Baby: Baby Oz is the size of a SQUASH this week! Just in time for fall...he is about 3.75 pounds and 17 inches long! No wonder the belly is beginning to grow like crazy...so is Max!

Maternity Clothes: I am still holding out for the most part but i did get some amazing maternity jeans in Chicago this weekend! I went to Pea in the Pod, and literally could have bought so much cute stuff but i refrained. I know that i don't have much longer to go but the stuff that i found was soooo cute! None of it really looked like maternity. But on a good note... i love my new jeans =) they are amazingly comfortable.

Gender: Its a boy and of course we have already taken Max to his first football game! We traveled all the way to Sullivan for Maroa-Forsyth's first game (mostly because Daddy does the films for the team) and they won! They play their first game on the new field tonight and we will be there too!

Movement: Maxie Moo is moving like crazy as usual...even bumping into the edge of my desk at work! Then i get all jumpy and i am sure people think i am NUTS! Oh well... keep on moving we love to know you are safe and healthy!

What I Miss: I miss being able to move like i used to...there is no doing anything fast at this point. I fell like my body is really starting to slow me down.

Cravings: no cravings really.... i have been boring in that aspect i guess?

Symptoms: This baby bump is taking off...it has been slow but now he is growing like a weed!

Best Moment This Week: The best moment this week was traveling to Chicago, shopping for little Max's room and hanging out with my husband. He will be opening up a new car wash next week in Bloomington so i know i won't have much time with him in the up coming weeks....Yes! I am thinking the same thing...i hope this baby doesn't come too early because Brad is out of town a lot right now! Oh well we love him and couldn't be more happy for him and the success of his business =)

31...down to single digits!

How Far Along: 31 Weeks... approaching the finish line! i can see the end in sight :)

Size of Baby: Baby Oz is the size of a HEAD OF LETTUCE this week! This one makes a lot more sense than last week...because my tummy is getting huge! sooooo there has to be something at least the size of a large fruit or vegetable in there!

Maternity Clothes: At this point i am going to try to hold out! After all....we don't have too much longer to go! YAY =) same old story over and over on this i know! But i did do some shopping for bigger tops to cover this growing bump...nothing maternity though. Hopefully, this is stuff that i can wear after the baby too.

Gender: Its a boy and boy are we ready to meet him. Especially after this week, we just can not wait to see him in person! The ultrasound was amazing...he is just the cutest thing EVER!

Movement: Maxie Moo as i call him is moving all around, expect for when we want to get his picture! The funny thing is that he has been in the same position every ultrasound that we have ever had. He has always been head down and feet up... trying to hide his sweet little face! We got a peek this time but in a few weeks he won't be able to hide any longer!

Sleep: I am still getting plenty of sleep! If there is one thing that has been amazing for me this pregnancy it has been getting a good nights sleep! I fall asleep so quickly and sleep so sound...its the best! Ditto -- still same as always...sleeping like a ROCK!

What I Miss: I miss just being able to move like i used to...getting in and out of bed, the car, etc. is such a challenge as i am growing at an alarming rate! This is just getting more and more true...i am sure that next week i will still be saying the same thing!

Cravings: no cravings really.... i have been boring in that aspect i guess?

Symptoms: just a quickly growing belly...and hopefully baby!

Best Moment This Week: The best moment this week was the 3D ultrasound that we had done Saturday in bloomington! It was so exciting to get to see our little guy. He is absolutely the cutest thing i have ever seen and i am so in love already! After this...it really hit me! We are going to be parents to this sweet little guy that is "us." I just can't wait to meet him and i know Brad feels the same!

30 Weeks

How Far Along: 30 Weeks... 8 weeks until he is full term!

Size of Baby: Baby Oz is the size of a CUCUMBER this week! Which these never make sense to me because i feel like they told me he was something bigger weeks before...ohh well a cucumber it is! Maybe they are meaning length?

Maternity Clothes: At this point i am going to try to hold out! After all....we don't have too much longer to go! YAY =)

Gender: Its a boy and boy are we ready to meet him. Especially after this week, we just can not wait to see him in person!

Movement: I finally think i know what i am feeling. I feel like i can distinguish between kick, punches, flips, and hiccups! I am getting to be an ole pro at this....hahaha just when i think i have it all figured out

Sleep: I am still getting plenty of sleep! If there is one thing that has been amazing for me this pregnancy it has been getting a good nights sleep! I fall asleep so quickly and sleep so sound...its the best!

What I Miss: I miss just being able to move like i used to...getting in and out of bed, the car, etc. is such a challenge as i am growing at an alarming rate!

Cravings: no real cravings....

Symptoms: just a quickly growing belly...and hopefully baby!

Best Moment This Week: By far, the best moment this week was the anticipation of the ultrasound that is next saturday and my friend Ashley and I went to see her twin sister Amber's softball game. It was "Amber Patton Bobble-head" night and of course we couldn't miss it. It was also Max's first sleepover with his soon to be girlfriend Audrey Larson (Ashley & Amber's niece)! They are going to be soooo cute together i just know it! hahaha if he only knew i was talking about him like this....
